San Antonio Missions National Historical Park is a United States National Park Service unit in Texas. It is located on the San Antonio River, across from downtown San Antonio, Texas. The park preserves Spanish colonial missions and a portion of the city’s original 18th century layout.
The site was designated as an official U.S. National Historic Landmark District in 1964 (#6100065). The park contains over 60 restored Spanish Colonial buildings from 1731-1797 which were previously used as a shrine for worship services or other religious events; these buildings include chapels, churches and conventos (convent complexes). These structures represent some of the best examples of Spanish architecture in North America during that time period
The Riverwalk is a pedestrian mall in downtown San Antonio, Texas. It’s lined with shops and restaurants, and it’s a great place to walk or run.
The river itself is also beautiful, with its natural stone walls and bridges that provide shade on hot days. There are many different kinds of fish in this section of waterway–from bass to catfish–so you can enjoy seeing them swim around as well!
Sea World San Antonio is a theme park in San Antonio, Texas. It was opened in 1964 and is owned by SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. It is the home of Shamu the killer whale, who has been performing at Sea World since 1991. The park also features other animals such as dolphins and beluga whales, but they are not part of their regular show schedule due to their size or age requirements (the older ones cannot stay up as long).
The attraction has attracted over 40 million visitors since it first opened its doors!
Texas Hill Country is a region in the U.S. state of Texas. The Hill Country is the largest contiguous area of the Edwards Plateau, an area that extends from the Balcones Fault zone in Central Texas to the Rio Grande Rift in South Texas. The Alamo is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a National Historic Landmark. It’s also the site of Texas independence, as it was here that General Santa Anna surrendered his army after the Battle of San Jacinto. The Alamo is now a museum dedicated to preserving its history for future generations.
River Park Square Mall is a shopping mall in San Antonio, Texas. It is located at the intersection of I-35 and Broadway. The mall was opened in 1981 and has since seen several expansions and renovations.
The first phase of River Park Square Mall began construction in 1980 with an original cost of $77 million USD.[1] The first phase included more than 150 stores, making it one of the largest shopping centers built in Texas at that time.[2][3] The second phase added more than 190 stores to the center while remodeling most retail areas and adding restaurants on top floors.[4][5]
In 2006, tenants included Sears (which closed its store), Boscov’s (which closed its store), JCPenney (closed) and Sears Outlet Store/Gap Factory Store/Kohl’s Department Stores Outlet Store/Sears Craftsman Tools Outlet Store/Wallgreens Pharmacy Outlet & Food Pantry Center; nearby restaurants include Chili’s Grill & Bar,[6]Pizza Hut,[7] McDonald’s[8], Taco Bell[9], Ruby Tuesday[10], Burger King[11], Wendy’s[12].
The Market on the Riverwalk is a great place to eat and shop during your trip. This market is open every day, including Sunday, holidays and even until 10 pm at night! You can find everything from street food to local delicacies like tacos or handmade tortillas. There are also many restaurants that offer delicious food here as well!
El Mercado de San Antonio is a historic market in San Antonio, Texas, United States. The market is located in the historic La Villita neighborhood. It was built by Mexican Americans who wanted to provide fresh produce from their own farms and gardens to customers who wanted to buy directly from local farmers instead of buying their products at chain grocery stores.
The Mercado de San Antonio opened on May 11th 1927 as “La Villita Market” with only 20 vendors selling food items such as tamales and enchiladas made by local businesses or households themselves on weekends only until June 4th 1927 when it became open every day except Sundays (which were reserved for religious celebrations) until 2011 when it was closed due to lack of business resulting from the economic downturn affecting all sectors including agriculture which had been hit hard by drought conditions throughout much of Southwest
La Villita Historic District is a historic district in San Antonio, Texas, United States. It is located in the city’s West Side. The district is a National Historic Landmark and is recognized as a Texas Historic Landmark.
The area was originally known as “La Villita” because it was used by local residents as an open marketplace. The name La Villita has been applied to any or all of two or more distinct areas within the city: one centered on Pueblo Street between San Jose Avenue and Culebra; another centered on La Villita Street between Creek Street (formerly called International) and 18th Avenue (formerly called Northern).
